What fire is to air, bubbles are to water

When fire begins as a result of friction, it travels upward and licks the sky. When a swimmer dives into water, the resulting shattered vacuum creates a myriad of bubbles. So I like to believe what fire is to air, bubbles are to water.

Here is Michael Phelps front and center with streaming, underwater, "fire" just "burning" the water behind him.
