hi, alain bernard have just broke the french record in the 100 m free in the time of 48.12(22.78;25.34)he egal the second best time ever with manini the italian swimmer behind peter van den hoogenband. i am looking forward for the 100 m free at the games and the french relay team have a good chance for the podium because fabien gilot who arrived second today also had his personal best in 48.85 , he is the second french swimmer behind alain bernard to swim under 49 seconds

Michael Phelps best time for the 100 free is a 48.42 so, yes I agree, France has a shot at a medal!!!
