As for the 200-free... The Chinese swimmer Yang Sun is a second faster.
As for the 200 IM... Has he even swam the race this year? Also Tyler Clary is motivated.
Will the "mighty Casey strike out at bat?" I think he may hit a single, maybe a double, but on paper the "mighty Casey" looks like a fading hero.

Are you talking about Worlds or Olympics? Because D'Arcy won't be swimming in Shanghai and Phelps can't swim 100 free and 200 back, because he hasn't qualified for those events. As far as I know, he swims 200 free, 200 fly, 200 IM and 100 fly. Also relays.
My bad... I assumed D'Arcy - I should just delete the post. I thought the usual suspects made it.
Thanks for the catch. I modified it some so i don't look as stupid as i really am.
He's ranked first in the 200 IM by half a second, although Lochte has yet to taper. Remember that most of the current top ranked times are from foreign swimmers at their taper meets. Also, Tyler Clary isn't swimming the 200 IM and I believe he has much stronger chances to medal in the 200 back and 400 IM than 200 fly. I predict Phelps will get gold in the 100 and 200 fly, silver in the 200 IM, and bronze or worse in the 200 free (behind Park and possibly Sun Yang).
Tyler Clary is most definitely a beast, but he isn't swimming the 200 IM at worlds. Ryan Lochte is.
Gosh, I suck
According to Chinese media, Sun Yang will not be swimming the 200m free. He's going to go 4,8,15. Although I believe Sun will put down a monster split on the 4x2 relay and contest this event in London.
Phelps was 154.1 last year at panpacs with "horrible" turns, that race was definitely worth something like 153.3 or 4 with better turns. He has also claimed to be in considerably better shape than last year. I would not be surprised to see him go under the textile record, which is uncharted territory for nonPhelpsian flyers.
This has to be my most uninformed post ever.
