Good Morning, next week is the 'Alcatraz Sharkfest Swim' and this will be my last open water training swim for it!

The one on the left is the Hermosa Beach Pier, the one on the right is the Manhattan Beach pier. A total of 2 miles separates them. The advantages of doing these swim is that they are 1/2-a-mile farther than Alcatraz is to Aquatic park. The hardest part for me in doing Alcatraz iis the sensory deprivation, my mind tends to drift and I slow down. these pier-to-pier swims make you more disciplined.

So, next Sunday is the Alcatraz Sharkfest Swim and Anthony and I will both be up there stormin' it. I think I will be able to blog from the hotel.

These pictures were taken by 'Watch-the-Water-dot-org' at 6:18 and 6:19 AM this morning. I am concerned about the drizzle at Manhattan. That pier is no fun to find when it gets fogged out.
