Ad campaign for global warming awareness features a swimmer viewing a metropolitan city underwater

I found this at NotCot.org who originally found it at I-believe-in advertising-dot-com. The campaign as designed by Naga DDB, Malaysia to raise awareness as to how the destruction of rain forest relates to global warming.

Does it work for you? I would have preferred a post apocalyptic version of New York city half underwater as if it were some perversion of the Venice canal system but rendered in complete rust and foreboding.

Manhattan Island did not exist exist 10,000-years-ago; it was covered up by a massive glacier, hence it is not unreasonable to believe that it could be covered up once again but this time with water.

Here is a link to an ice-age map - Note, Canada, Norway, Sweden, Most of England didn't exist as well: [Link]
