I just swam in 72 degree water at Santa Monica College

Santa Monica College, home of KCRW and NPR has one of the best pools in Southern California. The staff is great, it's clean and I appreciate it so much that they let SCAQ swim there. Tonight, they got their boiler back on line but a 50 meter pool takes a long time to heat, Consequently we swam in 72 degree water.

Brrr...Damn that is cold. But I'd rather be swimming in 72 degrees than 82.

I second that one, Joel. Swimming in warm water is WAY worse...

:-P You know, when it's 55 degrees outside and you know a boiler is broken and that you are about to be jumping into some 72-degree water; 82-degree water has a rice ring to it.

I hear it is still cold over at SMC. Some other folks popped up at LMU for the workout tonight since they didn't want to brave the chill. I like getting the additional company since Friday nights are usually sparse.
