Omega has built a new starting block that has received FINA approval

It seem perfectly logical to me. It puts the trailing foot more in line with the trajectory path. It makes the track start more like an actual track start since runners get to use nice angled starting blocks as well.

I agree with Merritt -- this is awesome! Much more like the starts that runners get now. The handles on the sides of the block are interesting...
