Tofua Island - Largest swimming pool in the world and it has a volcano to keep the water "heated" as well.

Forget that swimming pool in Chile, this beast makes it look like a Wham-O Slip n' Slide. According to my estimates the pool in the center is 6 kilometers wide! And note the volcano at the upper portion of the pool. Simply epic! [Link]

This island looks like it was the set for a James Bond Movie circa 1967.

That would make a great Bond villian headquarters! Except, perhaps, for those brown smudges by the crater rim, which suggest landslides caused by earthquakes from the smoking dome rising in the crater (a crater evidently made when the original volcano blew itself apart). Only in the movies would someone try to live right on top of a sulfurous and active volcanoe.

Now that is a beautiful picture. Makes me want to hop on an airplane and fly to Hawaii. (I'm always bored within a couple hours, but it still makes me want to go.) And you're right, it does look like the volcano from the end of "You Only Live Twice."

imagine how much material must have blotted out the sun when prick went off?

Also, I wonder how the water circulates? Underground vents or caves? Imagine of the water was fresh but I doubt that.

this is a natural pool, not a man-made pool like Chile's. You cannot compare.
