I want to make the blog better so I added a poll to the right of the page.

On the right hand side of the page is a poll. If you have time, please click which items you like best; (you can click more than one), so I can see which direction I should take the blog. Though I am continually overwhelmed with with flattery regarding how well this blog has been received, I want to take it to the next level for no other motive but to make fellow swimmers happy. I know that sounds so "SpongeBob" of me but I have learned so much from all of you and I want to keep it going.

For instance, I am thinking of buying pictures from the Associated Press for the Olympics so as to improve the user experience but perhaps videos or just links is what you may or may not want to see.

The poll will be up for one week. Thanks for your time.

Tony

This blog is a guilty pleasure for me. I avoid all swim-related sites...except this one. Keep up the good work.

Your blog Tony - why do you think someone else can improve on it? I think most of your readers find you have a really nice balance of coverage.

I agree with all the other commenters -- this blog is awesome, and on my few "go-to" blogs every day.

Your blog is the best in the world for swimmers of all abilities. No changes necessary, but thanks for asking. It's apparent you there's a lot of talent and time put into this blog to make it so comprehensive and appealing, I hope the Los Angeles Masters swim club you're in, SCAQ, recognizes the advantage your blog is to their membership, and showers you with dollars. Many dollars. You deserve it.

I am so flattered by all your comments that I have been speechless for 3 days.

The blog averages 18,000 to 25,000 vists per month when there no big meets and as high as 40k to 50k during big events like Worlds, Amanda Beard that one July and perhaps the upcoming Olympics but I am insecure about the content.

I make a lot of errors and I feel quite amateurish at times but I want to fix that. I figured by asking what people want I could deliver better content and make the outside the water experience for us even more fun.

I receive no money for the blog or compensation from SCAQ but they SCAQ does refuse to charge me for swimming no matter how many times I request that they do. I have literally been hung up on when I pressed it. (It's a $60 fee but I do pay for lactic acid workouts with Erik and Rada Owen.)

I do the blog because I love swimming and I want it to get more popular.

The rewards from doing it are so indescribable. I have met the nicest people from all over the world, people with amazing skills and talents, even disabled swimmers and 70-year-old-plus swimmers I can't catch.

I know it's corny, but it has been better than money.

Thank you. :-)
