Oh - what a shame. Sure anything to do with 1936 is a touchy subject - but it's still the Olympic pool. I actually swam in the pool in the 80s - it still ok at that time.

What made me post the Berlin pool was that I got a DVD of Reni Riefenstahl's "Olympia" and there is a crazy clip in there of the breaststroke in that pool. Swimmers are doing a fly stroke with their heads out of the water and a breatstroke kick at the same time. (Now that would be a drill from hell.)
I wanted to see what the pool looks like today and apparently another grand European pool is decaying.
Hopefully it gets "re-branded" and rescued.
