I got my workout bag stolen; all my swim gear is gone!

All my favorite TYR stuff is gone: Goggles, low profile goggles, suits, caps, the bag itself, ALL ERASED from my life! He chose the bag over the iPod and cell phone for some reason; I wish he would have taken the iPod instead. Oh, and get this, He attempted to steal my sketchbook too but dropped it while running way after my dogs went off. (My dogs, Cocoa and Soojin, got "Scooby treats" for foiling that part of the heist.)

The book landed on my neighbors lawn while his sprinklers were going off but the artwork therein is still good. I guess these are signs we are in tough economic times!

I spent $148 at SwimOutlet.com last night replacing all of the above.

Swim gear over an ipod?

I'd say swimming *really has* truly arrived...

That so sucks! But on the other hand you now have all new stuff! Was this in your car or house?

You guys have been so nice. :-]

My car was parked in the driveway, doors unlocked. I rarely lock them; long driveway, windows etc. (Locking it now.)

I wish they would have taken the iPod because I can replace it and the library in a half-hour or less. To replace my gear is going to take a week.

As for the swim gear, I got this autistic spectrum disorder about my equipment. I become "Rainman" if I don't have it just right.

Only area of my life I am that way!

I have to have a pair of clear goggles for night swimming and silver pair of goggles for day. (Tyr Velocity Metalized)

I wear TYR Fussion 2s and I have to have 2 pairs in case one rips or otherwise.

I have to have a low profile pair goggles for racing. (TYR)

sunscreen of course, wax earplugs for racing; (I am deaf in one ear and I have to protect my good ear from infections), a silver, silicon, Speedo cap that Anthony gave me, and a blue Speedo mesh bag. (My TYR bag I use for trips.)

You guys have been really great. it's soften the blow greatly. I am not quite over it but when i get my equipment I will be. I should do a review on swim shops. I had to go to four the them.

My next dog as a preventative measure is going to be an Argentine Dogo:

When this dog barks it's the moral equal to a shotgun blast. (Halp Great Dane, half Pit bull. The great Dane makes the sweet, the pit bull makes them protective.

(You have to string the link together line by line.)

Tony, sorry to hear about your loss of gear, I have lost all of mine a couple of times in my short swimming career due to my own fault. One feels naked without their swimming gear. To have someone take it from you is not right, a desperate jerk for sure.
