Take this short test to see how many "miles per gallon" your body gets!

38 miles per gallon

UPDATE: I am tweaking the test for swimmers:

  • On question 2: List your 500LCM time as an answer to how fast you can run a mile
  • On question 5: If you have swam 25% of the running distances listed, multiply that distance by 4 and answer that distance as your distance ran.
  • On question 13: If your heart has reached 200-beats-per-minute after a swim workout or a race, answer that you vomited or passed out after a workout

If food was liquid like gasoline, here is a short test you can take to see how many miles per gallon your body gets. I suppose I am a "Prius!" Any "Mini Coopers" or "Hummers" out there?

This test was created by the Car Connection.

It seems I'm the equivalent of a motorcycle at 41.5 mpg, but I think I'm stealing credit for actions I did in my younger days (i.e. puking and fainting) because they use 'ever' instead of say, the past five years.

You're a motorcycle since your times are fast and this is after breaking your back too!

I'm 39 but I think it's BS. What's the furthest I've run? Who cares? I think the furthest was a few miles and that was when my car broke down. Why don't they ask what's the furthest you've swum? That would bump me to at LEAST 39.6. :)

39.5 like a hybrid. I think the fact that I run slow and I marked that I've puked after an hard workout before added some miles!

The running bumped me up. If I would have puked, I could have a 40!

What a lazy bones I am.

Plus why is running such a barometer? As we are all swimmers who swim at relatively fast paces I am sure all of MPG's are higher than posted. I feel I should be a Yaris PlugIn Hybrid.

Wait... puking is GOOD? Passing out is GOOD? I've thrown up because I didn't feel well during practice so I could continue to practice (many years ago). Is it good to have the ability to push yourself to the point of throwing up? Now I know how I could get a better score. I'll run 4 miles to Duncan Donuts, get a large coffee and a dozen donuts... eat and drink as fast as I can and run back. I'll increase my longest run AND say I threw up because of training. I better break 40 after this.

I updated the post and tweaked it for swimmers. It goes like this:

I get 45 mpg....the equivalent of a motorcycle.

Wow! I guess you are more alpha than Scott, Joel, and Glenn Mills! ;-)

I don't know if I'd call it 'Alpha'....more along the lines of ocd & trying to stave off the inevitable "world-ending" time bomb of turning 40 (tomorrow).

40 is the new 30. Seriously, I kid you not.

Oh, Happy Birthday! :-)

OK... now I get 45 mpg, but I have to say I fudged the diet part just a bit. I'm STARTING to eat right everyday... but I'm just glad it didn't ask about drinking BEER!

I get 41.5 mpg. Slightly less than my Prius is getting right now.
