These are the most courageous start dives I have ever seen!

That's about what my starts looked like at the Fullerton meet last weekend in that super shallow 4 foot pool!

I heard about that pool. I would have asked if i could have started from the concrete for I go down deeper than four feet.

Glenn "Gitmo" Mills!

It was a side job for the CIA. His code name: "Bebop hipster belly flop assassin." I kid you not

Ahhhh... the red skin crew. This was a fun day at the pool. Nothing like blowing off some steam. Ouch 2 features a 1:42.5 200 flyer, still waiting for his spot at NCAAs. Hope it holds up, but MAN some of the times have been fast. Maybe if I had him clean up his entry a bit huh?

GO NAVY!!

Rob - your head WAS up this high out of fear, but luckily your body did not share the fear and went in as normal.

Did we not experience the high and low of racing starts over the past 2 weeks in San Diego and Fullerton?

I am very glad they have that meet but it must have been like watching start dives from the early 1970's.

They should either put the starts in the deep end or refurbish the pool and make it the two meters that FINA is requesting for safe start dives.

Ahelee - no joke... 8 foot tall blocks to 4 foot deep pools... I'm scared to see what kind of weird quirk CalTech has!

Tony - I was happy to have somewhere to race but that pool makes me nervous! I am kind of surprised that in the litigious world we live in an insurance company would let a pool like that fly for competitions.

I would have to go off the concrete and insist I don't get DQed.

Cal Tech is a narrow pool, has eight lanes. Wehn people dive in, a huge wave follows after them. It even submerges the lane lines. When you make you turn you feel the energy.

I will be there!!! Can't wait to see you two!!!

I sent in my entry for CAL TECH.
Watch... every heat will stack us up 3 bloggers across!

At least we have all been working on our SDK to get under the wake!

About the FAST pool - most all meets there now are LC and the start end is deep. I still LOVE that pool and swam some best or near best times. LOVE seeing the tiles rush by on the sprints - HA HA!

How many bloggers can we get at CalTech? Since I don't consider CalTech a meet since it's forces me to swim breaststroke I may go just to see if I can swim a 50 breast without getting DQ'ed.

How about you, me and Rob pick our worst event, or any event and put down the exact same time or NT?

I will have somebody film it and we will post it on all of our blog.

Hmmm, to make it fair, why don't we do belly flops and blame the start technique on Glenn? ;-)

I don't know if belly flops are a good idea... I'm not not a small gentleman and I can just imagine how hard I could smack the water if I did it on purpose!

Well if you want my worst event... breaststroke is not my thing. I already entered though. I think I entered a 34.7

Tony Austin said...

No belly flops! A 34.7 in the breast would be a PB for me. That's the time I am going to put down!

Ahelee said...

I enetered a 35.27 - my best time...
Hope I get in the blog heat too!

I don't have to do a belly flop... my legs do their own version of one everytime.

See you there boyz.

Meant to say, if I don't make the blogger heat, I'll video tape it!
