SCAQ dominated the event with 56 swimmers all led by Coach, Erik Hochstein. The event was a huge success for masters swimming in our region with over 400 people competing.
We are thinking of winning the SPMA Short Course Meters Championships at the Belmont Plaza this December as well. Come with us or against us!

Hope we can do it again in December - I am a little puzzled by the full 3 day meet program for the December meet. Having the 100 Free in Friday can not be a good thing to get swimmers to the meet.
I was hoping to get 100 SCAQ swimmers for the 100 Free -- but there is no way on a Friday.
Congrats!
I guess we focus on relays again. Also, I wonder if it was the relays, the people doing 14-events or both that got us the win?
Thank you Joel, you should have come and laughed at my 200 fly, and my 400 IM
Nice photo Tony!
This meet is only getting bigger and bigger. Ends quite late.
Last year, I stayed in a hotel even though I only live a short distance away in Orange County. Just for the convenience since we leave late and have to arrive early.
The challenge is sure out there after Thousand Oaks!
Any one of 5-6 teams could pull out a win in Long Beach.
That is, if the "Region of Los Angeles" doesn't come out with more than their 5% - ha ha!
Lets' make a GREAT show SPMA!
Dude, you are just being nice. I am seriously a troll! I forgot to put sunglasses on so I could try and hide!
Yeah, we are choosing our battles and Long Beach is looking pretty good.
We were toying with putting up 100 swimmers to swim the 100 free but the event is on a FRIDAY!
What is really cool is that we wear DDR Flag colors: (Bundesrepublik Deutschland)
So, we are like the Kobe Bryant of war!
Fear us coming, we are legion!
