Time lapse photography of the 'London Aquatics Centre' moving from nothing to something!

The London Aquatics Center is practically finished. This is a beautiful facility and the surrounding environment will be just as aesthetic.

Here is a link to a time lapse video of the Aquatics center being built: [Link]

The photo below the web cam was taken last June. You guys made a great pool. After the Olympics does the City of London take over management?

Indeed, it looks great. But too little too late in terms of 50m pools in the capital. For the greater part of the last decade probably we've had the grand total of zero in the city perimeter (while the decrepit Crystal Palace facility was 'refurbished').

Not entirely sure of the management post games, but I've been told by well-informed sources it will not be made available for the national masters comp.

I have two 50-meter pools within 6-miles of me, and I can count five 25-yard pools but I know I am missing a bunch. Pools are everywhere in L.A. yet 50% or so of the population can't swim.

I deleted Chris' comment because it contained Speedo spam. i.e. It contained a link to the Speedo Store.

I recently got a letter from a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) company asking me to include a link to the Speedo store within I post I made some time ago that mentioned Speedo. I declined, and now this ad hoc comment with a link to the Speedo store embedded shows up.

If this happens again I am going to notify Google that Speedo is using a SEO company to game their store numbers and I will send them and even print the letter I was sent to this blog.
