What Tokyo had to offer: These architectural renderings are mind blowing!

The first photo would be the "Tatsumi International Swimming Centre" and I would have been lovin' those curves and lattice work.

The second photo is that of a solar powered Olympic stadium cut into the earth as an amphitheater.

The third photo is the proposed velodrome stadium; a venue the Japanese are very practiced at building.

The third is 'Dream Island Stadium" and I am guessing that it would be for volleyball and perhaps a venue for equestrian events.

My top three choices for the 2016 Summer Olympics Games

Tokyo, Japan - Tokyo 2016 Olympic bid
Prague, Czech Republic - Prague 2016 Olympic bid
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil - Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympic bid

These are my top three choices for the 2016 Olympics Summer Games. Note that Chicago is not on the list. To be fair, I was also relieved that my home town of Los Angeles is not on the list due to its many systemic problems with transit and socio-economic inequalities. (You are either affluent here in Los Angeles or you are struggling. There is no middle-class here. Middle-class people can't afford a $550,000 dollar home, two $15,000 cars, and 2.1 kids.)

Also note that it is not that I have any problem with the city of Chicago but rather that the USA has hosted more Olympiads than any other country.

St. Louis, Mo., was the first U.S. city to host the modern Olympic Games in 1904. Squaw Valley, Calif., and Lake Placid were the host cities for the 1960 and 1980 Olympic Winter Games, respectively, while the 1984 Olympic Games were held in Los Angeles, where a record-setting profit was realized, and the 1996 Olympic Games were held in Atlanta. France and Germany are the only other countries to have ever hosted two Olympic Games in one year. Chicago over L.A.: Chicago gets to bid for 2016 Olympics

I actually felt that L.A. didn't deserve the right to bid for the 2016 Olympics. I know it sounds odd but this city is not worthy of the Olympics. Los Angeles has the all the sports facilities to host the Olympics but we certainly are not the best city in America and it is my feeling that only the best city in America should host the Olympics.

L.A. has no viable rapid transit system because we are so large. The middle class has been erased; (The average cost per house in L.A. County is $500,000 but the average income in the city of Los Angeles is $20,000 per capita, and $39,000 for households). Only 44% of high school students in the Los Angeles Unified School District graduate in four years time, the LAPD is ordered what laws it can selectively enforce, and none of what I am saying is a lie or hyperbole. I think only the best city in America should get the Olympics and Los Angeles is not the best city. GO CHICAGO!
