I used to be (sort of) buddies with Hansen in high school; I dated a good friend of his, and swam against him in high school meets (our schools were rivals in PA). Everyone would just watch with mouths agape as he'd traverse a single length of the pool with only five strokes in the 100 breast. He's an awesome guy: humble, gracious, and a lot of fun to party with.
Actually, Brendan Hansen Online is a fansite, not Brendan's official site, although he does occasionally post and help us out with prizes and stuff for our contests. I run the site day-to-day and make the majority of the blog entries, and the interview at Swimming World was with myself, not Brendan. As Trev said above, he's an awesome guy and I try to keep BHO up to date with the latest news about him. Thanks for the link!
