Forget Rome, Canet, and the the Monte Carlo! The real action took place in So Cal: [Link]
Lot of hyperbole surrounding Ziegler's swim including from me. After sleeping on it, I just don't see how anyone is going to step up to the blocks in Beijing with any sort of confidence that they can beat her. I foresee a triple gold medalist here.

No women's 1,500 in Beijing Tony. Give her the 800, but taking the 400 away from Manaudou certainly isn't a given. What's the third event?
Really? Since the World Championships had it I thought it would be featured in the Olympics.
Silly that they don't. It's like not having a women's marathon.
I figured she would take the 400, 800, 1500 but there is no 1500. Rats!
I understand London 2012 will have the women's 1,500 and the men's 800 for the first time in an Olympics but am not sure about this. I've never understood why these two events were singled out either. It would be interesting to learn why - perhaps scheduling problems fitting two more endurance events?
