From the Daily Mail: "...Acknowledged by the Guinness Book of World Records, the San Alfonso del Mar seawater pool in Algarrobo, Chile as the world's largest swimming pool, the lagoon measures 1,013 metres in length and covers an area of eight hectares. ..." [Almost 20 acres]
Since it is a saltwater swimming pool and the Pacific ocean is parked right along side it, I don't think it should count for it is nothing more than a closed off lagoon. [Link]
