Missy Franklin is quite articulate and speaks with few clichés or with "slangluage." When asked if she was going pro she said that staying amateur is still the plan for she really wants to swim in college. However, her parents and coach would sit down with her and recommend what they think is best.
Wat would you suggest?
I am impressed with how quickly she can articulate her feelings while exuding what seemingly feels like an endless supply of enthusiasm and warm feelings. I think she will be a national treasure for this sport and a goldmine if she turns pro. If she can maintain her winning edge, I see swimming's version of Maria Sharapova but only with more more warmth.
