Supervision and teammate observation is everything! The swimmer who was rescued was an experienced swimmer. That is something to keep in mind during your next workout.
Even with the best preparation terrible accidents can and will happen in sports. Thank goodness that swimmer had the presence of mind to notice something was wrong AND knew what to do.
