I am astonished that a sub 50 second 100m free can't deliver you into a final; that is how fast American swimmers are.
I keep reading this paragraph over-and-over but my brain cannot grasp the fact that two South Africans swam today. I have no problem with it, I truly don't - but this is American Nationals? [Link]

It is a blessing just to be able to watch this meet. It has been a joy to cover it.
The air quality seems a bit better today, as the facility has been opening up air as much as possible.
