"Qualifying" Times. After swimming at Nationals last year I realize not everyone officially qualifies. Some people fudge the numbers in the hopes of making the qualifying terms. I only swam a few events as I only qualified for a few events. I swam what I qualified for. I do know others who did fudge times to either swim at all or to swim additional events. Yes it sucks to spend 100's if not 1,000's of dollars to swim just two or three events but people shouldn't fudge times. It just makes the meet longer than it should be. But that is just me!
Hopefully they let you sign up for five events without qual times and any qual times you do have, they would be added events..
I'm skipping Nationals this year. Those guys are hard core. I'd rather go to IGLA (International Gay Lesbian Aquatics) in June. It's more laid back and fun!
Are the Gay Games next year?
Gay Games are 2010, Out Games are 2009. IGLA is annual non Gay Games swimming event. This year it is in DC. It's more than a swim meet. Swim meets are boring.
